A quick project this week!
To make the Industrial Dining Table, I laminated two halves of a 4’x8′ sheet of 3/4″ plywood in order to make a 4’x4′ 1.5″ thick dining table. Because of the properties of this plywood, the top is extremely flat and sturdy with minimal support and finish work. The doubling of the plywood layers additionally makes for a nice edge quality with the 45 degree chamfer I added.

The legs are painted angle iron which was welded to steel plates, sturdily and simply bolted straight through the top. This assembly makes the table ridiculously strong while being very easy to disassemble and transport with just 12 bolts. The piece is a part of my industrial furniture series that will all go in my apartment next year. More on the way!
